He quotes with the high-level sea kayak in Sanxenxo, this Sunday by the hand of the Club de Piragüismo de Portonovo, the Club Náutico de Portonovo, the Club de Piragüismo Olívico and the Organizing Committee of the Abanca Week... that with the support of the Concello de Sanxenxo, of the Posititation of Pontevedra and of the Galician Federation of Piraguüismo itself, have put the first stone for the beautiful villa pontevedreso, to be back to the great events of the year. The Club, which is chaired by Alberto Rodríguez, is one of the references of this sport in Galicia and its star competition until a few years ago: the Prince of Asturias Trophy.

The planned tours that have been designed by Alberto Rodríguez and José Besada are really attractive, and there is a lot of interest in the palists to return to these tracks: the elders will leave at 10: 30 in the morning of the beach of Major, to pass through the lighthouse of Picamillo and enter the beautiful beach of Baltar in the center of the total of Portonovo.

For their part the cadets will go out to those of the beach of Baltar, to make 2500 at the tip of Falixa a cidefa and return to Portonovo. At one and a half in the afternoon it is planned in the beach area, where is located the headquarters of the Club Piragüismo de Portonovo, which is held the delivery of medals and therefore the closure of the competition. This is the theory, for if time does not accompany, for security reasons, the mentioned Rodríguez and Besada, they will do with the censors and they will shear, in search of a softer trace, that is with the same distance.

The Kayak Vigo with 38 boats and 27 palists consists of the largest expedition, followed by Club de Piragüismo Cambados with 20 athletes and the Coruñés Cabanas- KDM that presents 18 palists in race. In total there will be 24 clubs, representing the four Galician provinces and Castilla León. The Abanca Week for the first time in its 25-year long career, counts an event in Sanxenxo in which the work of its sports councilman Marcos Guisasola has been essential. The intention of the Organizers is to achieve the success of the appointment, and become one of the great events of the Abanca Week, as a reference multinational event in Spain.
