25 years of the popular windsurfing race, of the Surfari- Sea Minor
This weekend, it will take place on the beaches of La Concha and Carrión in the coastal town of the Mar Menor in Murcia, the XXV edition of the popular windsurfing race known as Surfari- Mar Menor
To celebrate these 25 years of one of the most prestigious races of the national Windsurf calendar, the organization of the event, has again turned to conduct an extraordinary historical Windsurf competition; there will be five competition classes, where children and youth windsurfing stand out.
The Silk Route presented at the Colegio Mayor del Arte de la Silk in Valencia
The Colegio Mayor del Arte de la Silk of Valencia has been the chosen scenario to make known the Ruta de la Silk race. A sports, tourist and social event, promoted and organized by the Real Club Náutico de Valencia and which has had, with the collaboration and support of the Colegio del Arte Mayor de la Sila; It is Nàutic de Sant Antoni de Portmany, the Consell Insular d'Eivissa, as well as the collaboration and support of various public institutions such as the City of Valencia and the Generalitat Valenciana, as well as of Ibiza and Sant Antoni de Portmany, as having companies from the private sector.
The Silk Route will take place from 9 to 12 October, whose departure will be from the vicinity of the Real Club Nautico de Valencia, ending at the Club Es Nàutic, in Sant Antoni de Portmany. The departure of the race, heading for the island of Ibiza, will take place next Wednesday.
Gstaad Nautical Club Centenary Trophy; Oriole wins the tenth edition
The competition resumed in the water today, after a Suizaorganized night at Place des Lices by the Nautical Club of Gstaad, in a festive and pleasant atmosphere. Twenty centenary sailboats participated in the tenth edition of the Centenary Trophy of the Gstaad Yacht Club, held in the framework of the Voiles of Saint- Tropez. The race was developed with approximately ten knots of wind and under a beautiful summer sun.
The winner was Oriole (1905), the first to cross the finish line in front of the Portalet Tower. The ship designed by Herreshoff triumphed ahead of the 10-meter Marga with JI (1910) and the P Class Olympian (1913), completing the podium.
