The next and last meeting of the Iberdrola League 2024 will take place in Getxo on 12 and 13 October
The Iberdrola League closed yesterday Sunday the fourth event of its calendar with victory of the team of the Royal Canary Federation of Vela, which premiered leading the classification on the first day of an appointment that has been organized by the Royal Spanish Federation of Vela in collaboration with the Galician.
The closing day began late waiting for the wind to enter, which as soon as it appeared was used by the committee to continue the round of clashes. The wind, with a change of direction included, ranged between 7 and 8 knots of intensity, but the agility of the teams and the committee allowed the races on board the Elliott 6 to take place.
After completing the round of 12 clashes in which all the teams competed with each other, the first six classified became part of the double-score Medal Race, in which the podium of the event would be decided. Finally it was the teams of the Royal Canary Federation of Vela-RCNGC, CN Arenal, RCN Sanxenxo, RCN Vigo, RCN Gran Canaria and RCN Tenerife, in the same order, which were classified for the Grand Final.
The skill shown on the first day by the team of Isabel Hernández, Patricia Reino, Martina Reino and Carlota Sánchez on Sunday had their continuity, and after adding a third and a first in the races in which they participated, a second place in the Medal Race confirmed them as winners of the fourth Iberdrola League event. They were accompanied on the podium by the RCN Sanxenxo and the CN Arenal, thus closing a complicated event for all the crews and in which, again, the female candle has taken the lead by bringing together thirteen crews from the Canary, Balearic, Galicia, Comunitat Valenciana and Region of Murcia communities.
