The reference event of the Spanish multinatician, of the Abanca Week that celebrates this year its twenty-fifth anniversary, and in which there are celebrations of sailing, pyragüism, rowing, nautical skiing, wakeboard and wakesurf, bringing together more than two thousand nautical athletes in the different versions that will take place: Galicia Interior, Rias Baixas I, Rias Altas and Rias Baixas.

The first meeting for the world of nautical skiing, which has in Galicia in Jacobo Pereira to its highest federal responsibility: on the slopes of Cortegada in the province of Ourense and the International of Tui in Pontevedra. The competition the selective Xunta Trophy of Galicia, with the rank of Galician of Nautical Skiing, Wakeboard and Wakesurf that organized the Dumies of Ourense, the Nautical Club San Telmo of Tui and the Marine Club of Vigo with the support of the Galician Federation of Nautical Esqui... that achieved a great success of participation by competing more than half a hundred Riders of the entire Peninsula.

In Cortegada, the water ski was measured, with more than 30 level athletes, of the initial categories in which Nicolas Figueiredo was imposed between the boys and Alba Moreno in girls. In mini slalom Nicolás Jiménez was the best, while in Sub17 Simoneta Suárez was imposed that came from participating in the European where he had a brilliant classification, after having been a subchampion of Spain.

The Cortegada tracks in Ourense and the International of the Miño located between Tui and Valença, will mark the beginning of the twenty-fifth edition of the Abanca Week, which begins in this way with the competitions of Nautical Skiing, Wakeboard and Wakesurf, by the hand of the Dumies Club of Ourense, the Nautico San Telmo de Tui, the Wakeclub Fornelos de Montes and the Marítimo Club of Vigo; with the support of the Galician Federation and the Spanish Spiatic, and the Spanish Wakeclub.

The competitions of the different specialities of the world of nautical skiing, will have a historical presence on this 25th birthday of the Abanca Trofeo Xunta Week of Galicia: first with the selectives of Tui and Cortegada, then with the Iberian Circuit of Waakeboard Cable that has three remarkable tests: two in the Lusitan waters, in Lisbon and Viana do Castelo, and the final in Fornelos de Montes on 14- 15 September with the Grand Prix of Pittevedra in play... and finally in the Grand Prix of the Spanish Quarter is in the area of the city of Barcelona.

In Cortegada on a single day Saturday, it starts at 10: 00 in the morning, with Slalom's competitions in the Children's, Open and Senior divisions, as well as Minislalom and Figures. At the same time in Tui, in front of the river beach of Areeiros, it will be the wakeboard and wakesurf competitions that come into action. At the end of Saturday in front of the Nautical Club of San Telmo de Tui, the delivery of medals will be held to those who enter podium in different categories.

In the waters of the Miño either in the Cortegada Track or in the International of Tui will compete on this inaugural day of the Abanca Week, more than half a hundred Riders, with more participation in Nautical Skiing with the categories of Hipermini, Mini Slalom, Sub17, Open, Senior and Figures. Among the athletes to highlight the Spanish champion of figures, Alvaro Montes, as well as Carlos Requesens of the Madrileño club of Cerro de Alarcón and Nicolás Grandjean of the club of Castilla La Mancha based in Sesena, of the Botaski Waterski of Toledo.

There will be the Argentine Ovidio Gasperini in Senior Nautical Skiing and Matilde Gasparini in Sub17... also in the Sub14 group to highlight Simoneta Suarez (who remained in the first positions of the European Championship and best Spanish 15 days ago) as well as his brothers Lourdes and Pedro, who are Spanish champions in Sub12 and Sub10 respectively.

In wakeboard Trofeo Gadis is favorite the viguese Hugo Bugarín (third in the World Cup last year) who competes for the Dumies of Ourense, while in the female category Raquel Fernández, Yara de Jesús and Aitana Vidal are the strongest... being Antonio Castelo the strongest a priori in Open.
