The headquarters of the Vicedecan of the Galician nautical, of the Bouzas Maritime Liceo, hosted the official presentation of the Abanca Week, a multinational reference event in our country... regarding the first two versions, which have at stake the Great Galego Xunta Sport Prize of Galicia.
The event was attended by the head of sports of the Xunta Daniel Benavides, as well as the presidents of the Galician federations of Vela Manuel Villaverde, Alfredo Bea de Piragüismo and Jacobo Pereira de Skí Náutico, as well as Angela Rodríguez de Abanca, Pablo Louro de Gadis, María Troncoso de Coca Cola... as well as representatives of several clubs and associations, such as co-organizers of the Abanca Week.
The 25-year-old week was created in 2000 with the support of the president of the Xunta de Galicia, and recognized by the two-party government of the Galician executive in 2005 as "Strategic Event number one of the Galician nautical sport"; ten years later as the product of a popular vote held in Barcelona among the nautical fans was put to value as the great multinational event in Spain.

The activity will begin on the weekend of 31 August and 1 September of the hand of the nautical ski and the wakeboard, which organizes the San Telmo de Tui Nautical Club the Galician-Gadis Championship of the specialty, which will also be the classification of the Spanish Wakeboard Championship that with the Grand Prix of Ourense will be held in the last week of September in the beautiful ensemble of Barra de Miño, in Coles.
In Vigo as it is tradition, the candle will begin... with the Trophy Vila de Bouzas- Iberian Championship Gadis of A2 and A3 in play, for which the Liceo announces record participation, with more than 60 ships... who will give way to the Xunta Trophy of Galicia of Ilca with rank of Iberian Championship of this Olympic class, in which it will compete in the Regatas Field of the Cis Islands with more than a hundred lasers of Spain and Portugal.
In Fornelos de Montes in the interior of the province pontevedresa, the Iberian Wakeboard Championship will be held, which has the peculiarity that it is part of a Circuit, which begins in Lisbon waters, to continue in Viana do Castelo and conclude in Fornelos, where the Grand Prix will be held... in the enchorus of the Oitavén and the support of the Fornelos Wakeclub.
The Sanxenxo entrance to the Abanca Week, through the Portonovo Piragüism Club and the Portonovo Nautical Club, must be highlighted... under the umbrella of the Sanxenxo Sports Council and the Pontevedra Depitation. It will be with the Kayak de Mar International that will have at stake the International Trophy Vila de Portonovo, with the support of the Olívico Piragüismo and the Vigo Maritime Club... that has obtained the authorization of the International Canoeing Federation for its transfer to the beautiful villa pontevedresa.
