Turno for the 30 Juan de la Cosa Regata and the 53 Nautical Week of El Puerto de Santa María

Pistoletazo de exits a one of the most expected quotes in the nautical calendar of the Bay of Cadiz: the races 30 Juan de La Cosa and 53 Nautical Week of El Puerto de Santa María. Organized by the Royal Nautical Club of El Puerto de Santa María, both competitions will be held from August 22 to 25, offering cruise sailing lovers a unique opportunity to compete in an incomparable and at the same time very demanding scenario. Both races have been presented on the terraces of the Royal Nautical Club by their organizers, authorities and sponsors.

The competition will begin on Thursday, August 22 with the simultaneous start of the two races. With four days of trial, the first two days will determine the winner of the 30 Regata Juan de La Cosa, while the pulse for the precious Golden Catavan of the 53 Nautical Week will remain until Sunday 25.

The absolute and class winners will be awarded, with distinctions such as the Southern Rural Fund Trophy, the Vistahermosa Trophy, and the first mixed crew. The great Golden Catavan will once again be the most coveted prize, which can only be won in property by the ship that succeeds in winning ten years alternating or five consecutive, a challenge yet to be met. Meanwhile, the absolute winner of "the dean" as known to the oldest high-level race of the national calendar, will receive a replica of the trophy and its name will be inscribed in the original palmaris.

The Regata Juan de la Cosa will also award the winners of the Bou System, which recognizes the couple of ships, united by draw, with the best score, paying tribute to the traditional techniques used by the sailors.
