Aister delivers another super fast patrol to the Civil Guard

The boat, named Rio Iro, reaches 60 knots, about 111 kilometres per hour (Aister Source)
Aister has handed over to the Civil Guard a new interceptor of the Rio Flumen class, called Rio Iro. It is the fastest patrol in the world, which can reach speeds of up to 60 knots and is able to combat drug trafficking and organized crime on the Spanish coast in better conditions.
The point speed and maneuverability are its two strengths. Thanks to its experience in the construction of interceptors and a thorough development of the project, Aister has been able to far exceed all the marked expectations.
In a hull of 18 m long and 4.5 m manga, the HS60 interceptor comfortably exceeds 60 knots of point speed powered by two intraregional engines of 1800 horsepower each, which operate two Hamilton waterjets. The prototype design is the result of a great effort in design, engineering, performance search, safety and comfort.
The Semar continues to strengthen its ships to fight drug trafficking, a project that already amounts to more than 60 million euros in charges to the Galician naval industry.
