The British Hari Clark is imposed in class 4.2.The Topper World Championship has ended this Friday at the CAR's facilities in Los Alcázares, after the five days that the competition has lasted, in which a total of 174 regatists from 8 countries have participated.
After the nine tests of the final phase, the new world champions 2024 by category have been in class 5.3 the Chinese Che LIU of the Beijing Sailing Center, and in second position have remained Manuel Barrionuevo and third Sergio López, both of the Real Club of Regates of Cartagena. Class 4.2 has been won by Hari Clark of the Draycote Water SC, with also British Sam Mason and third Irish Tomas A'coistealbha.
Catalonia wins the Spanish Optimist Championship for Autonomy 2024, in Barcelona waters
The team 1 of the Catalan Federation of Vela, formed by Juan Lleonart, Pepe García, Anna Renteria and Agnès Hadzi has proclaimed itself the Spanish champion of Optimist by Autonomías... after the Catalans two team of Balearic Islands were located: the 2 composed by Ignacio Martín, Nikko Palou, Maria De Lluc Bestard and Mónica Osha, and team 1 of the Balearic Federation of Vela, formed by Stijn Oosterhaven, Lucas Montoya, Laia Mattos and Marina Garau.
A total of 8 autonomous communities and the national team (which was not eligible for the title) have participated. The participating federations have been Andalusia, Catalonia, Euskadi, Valencia, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Galicia and Cantabria. Each autonomous community has been represented by two teams, except Cantabria, which had only one. In total, there have been 16 teams and 64 regatists, each consisting of 4 members, two boys and two girls, ensuring a balanced and diverse competition.
