The Maxicat Victoria of Alex Pella beats the record of The Return to Spain

At 02: 03: 25 in the morning, the Maxicat Victoria of the ocean navigator, Alex Pella, reached the arrival line, located at the W Vela Hotel in Barcelona, and has managed to beat the record of the Iberian Peninsula in 4 days, 17 hours, 14 minutes and 46 seconds.

The last "The return to Spain" record was established by the Lompez- Doriga brothers in 2006, on board the sailing boat 'Art and Nature', with a time of 12 days and 13 hours. "This is a 1,500-mile sailing tour, spectacular, but you don't know very well how you will manage many steps. The route brings together the hardness of the Cantabrian, the mythical passage of Finisterre, the coast of Portugal, the complicated passage of the Strait of Gibraltar and the ever unpredictable Mediterranean Sea. The success of this period has been the chains of all systems.

Besides that both the ship and the crew have worked beautifully. It's a fantastic chrono and I hope others will try to challenge us. Our energy is the wind, the waves, the currents and the sun, with a ship that is over 25 years old and, despite that, we are getting the best possible performance.

The patron Alex Pella has been accompanied in this new challenge, Lalou Rousayrol, technical director, Alejandro Cantero, tree technician, Alberto Muñoz, systems technician, David Pella (in replacement of Pablo Santurde), Pilar Casares and Manuel Maqueda.
