The end of the competition, which will also be the Iberian Cup of both modalities, was attended by the mayor of the city of Tui, Enrique Cabaleiro, accompanied by the Provincial Tourism Deputy, María Nava Castro; the second of the Naval Command of the Miño, Carlos López; the head of the Provincial Sports Service of the Xunta de Galicia, Daniel Benavides; and the representative of the Board of Directors of the Royal Galician Federation of Motonutics and organizer of the event, Carlos Estévez (Photo Juan Caballero)

The Tui Interfederate Centre hosted this morning the official presentation of the Spanish Championship of Motoronautics for the categories T-850 and GT-60, which is to be held next Saturday in the Raian waters of the Miño, between Spain and Portugal.

The boat designs running in these categories are monocasque, with length about 4.50 meters, with high speeds around 100 / 120 km / h. The engine of the T-850 is two times, unlike the GT-60, which is four, much more modern and ecological, this category being the one that, in a very short time, will prevail in international circuits.

The circuit of the competition will have a tour of something more than a kilometre, defined by buoys flattened with colors that will indicate, according to their tonality, whether to be addressed by port or starboard, having the water sheet of a line of 500 meters.

The number of turns is approximately 15, adding one more in the last section, resulting in a total tour of between 20 and 25 km. Of the four sleeves scheduled, they will score the best three.

This type of configuration is a combination of skill and power, having to draw the beacons with skill by pressing on long sections to reach the point speed. The tests will begin at 2: 00 this Saturday afternoon on the bank of the Miño near the Naval Command, running free training from 10.30 a.m.

"We have just taken a number of assistance to promote sports tourism and this event is a clear example of this," said Nava Castro. "Especially given that they are high-level sports competitions and with great professionals we have a stage for the competition that is this great natural place that can be enjoyed in the union of two countries such as Spain and Portugal," said the Provincial Deputy of Tourism.
