Tembra Vela Alicante reaches its maximum numbers with 70 ships in line of exit

Everything is prepared in the Real Club de Regatas de Alicante to host from 18 to 22 July a spectacular 28th edition of the Tembra Vela Diputación de Alicante, a high-level race in the national calendar of the RFEV and will have 70 ships distributed between the classes ORC 1-2, ORC 3, ORC 4, ORC 5 / E and Women's Cup.

The ORC 1 fleet is very interesting. The participation of two Swan 42, the April Fish (CN Villa de San Pedro) of José María Meseguer and the Seabery-Mar Amigo (RCMT Punta Umbria) of Basilio Marquínez, have become two fixed ships in Alicante. The Bat and the Andalusian ship promise to show, as they will sail almost in real time and mark the pace of the competition. This class highlights the participation of the City of Melilla (CM Melilla) of José Luis Pérez, who after several years of absence has returned to the national circuit and already participated last spring in the Málaga Sailing Cup and will play his second race in the TabarcaVela. The German IMX 45 Foxy Lady of Klaus Bauer and the GS 50, the local Spaniard of Juan Rodríguez, will be the two largest ships in the fleet.

In ORC 2, the Ebury Sailing Team (Liga Naval Mar de Alborán) of Javier Sabiote and patronized by Julio Bernardeu, is presented as one of the candidates for the victory. In the Trophy of the Queen, the competitiveness of the Bat ship was already seen and will meet again with the Taboga School (RCN Cadiz) of Emilio Guzmán, who took the podium from him in Valencia.

In ORC 3 the Tanit IV-Medilevel of María José Vila and patroniado by Nacho Campos defends the title obtained in 2023 and will meet again with an old known as the Witch (RCN Cadiz) of Fede Linares that returns to the TabarcaVela, which, as it happened two years ago, is expected an interesting duel between Alicantinos and Gaditans.

In ORC 4, the Enewtec Ingeniería (CN La Isleta) of Francisco Miguel will also seek to revalidate cattle last season, where the MK III (CN Santa Pola) of Rafael Morán and the Dax (RCR Alicante) of Servó Durá will fight another year to be on the podium. In this class stands out the arrival of the Andalusian Ybarra-Befesa (RCMT Punta Umbria), patrolled by the Paralympic regatist in Rio, Arturo Montes. In this class will also be the Trebol Queen II of Arturo Pallarés (RCR Alicante) and the Third Pinto of Eugenio García (CN Santa Eugenia), who participated last weekend in the TabarcaVela of ORC A Two.

In ORC 5 and Special the great favorite, one more year, from among a fleet of 15 ships of the Real Club de Regatas de Alicante is the Kai of Maximo Catula, winner of the last edition. In this class will also be the Alemás Lilli, an One-Off by Thomas Eggert.

On Friday, the first day, the tests will start at 1 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon.
