The Bribon rises with the Xacobeo Trophy... the 6-meter competition will return in September to the river of Pontevedra
After a morning of instability in the south-west wind, the Regatas Committee finally managed to set up a stable 10-kt south-east wind field, allowing for the celebration of the fifth and final trial of the Xacobeo Trophy. The Bribon, with Ross McDonald as a patron and Jane Abascal as a tactical, dominated the test from beginning to end, thus ensuring the title of champion of the Xacobeo Trophy. King Don Juan Carlos, who had been the patron of the Bribon in previous days, witnessed the race from the team's support pneumatic. The second position was for the Titia of Mauricio Sanchez-Bella, while the Aida of Francisco Botas completed the podium in third position. The leader until the previous day, the Alibaba II of Miguel Lago, had to settle for the fourth square, thus losing his victory options.
