From that moment on, the young majorist dominated the final, declaring herself, at the age of 12, the indisputable Spanish champion of Longboard 2024. Caimi also took the title in sub18, next to the Andalusian Alfonso Zamora in the male category.
In second position he finished the Asturian Daniela Sevillano, while the third place was for another majorera, Mia Ramakers, followed by the Galician competitor María Lafuente. Of all the participants, Caimi highlighted because despite his young age he already has very good results in national and international competitions, as well as having the best score of the entire championship, with a wave of 8.67 points on a maximum possible 10.
After the female show, the final of the championship was held in the male category that faced two Basque competitors, an Asturian and a canary. This confrontation began with a wave marked with 6.33 of the Basque Jon Garmendia to which the canary Joel Rodríguez responded with an 8-point wave. However, Garmendia ended the competition after getting two excellent waves that made him the Spanish champion of Longboard 2024. Therefore, the local surfer of the Sports Club of Surfing Oleaje was proclaimed the subchampion of Spain. The third position was for the Asturian Nicolás García, followed by the Basque José Luis Berasaluce.
After the intense semifinals of the Open categories, the first end of the day took place with the category Gran Kahuna, of competitors over 50 years old, which provided a recital of the best surfing, showing that it is never too old to practice your favorite sport and make it a way of life. After a few sluggish sleeves, the Tinean Carlos Alberto Ramos won the first place, which proclaimed him the Spanish champion of longboard 2024 in this category. The second position was for the surfer of the Sports Club of Surfing Oleaje José Mandi Hernández, leaving Pablo Sicilia and Roberto José Pérez (Tillo) in third and fourth position respectively.
Although the title of longboard in the Men's Open category is taken by Garmendia to the Basque Country, the grancanary Juan Francisco Cabrera was proclaimed champion of Spain in the Men's Master category and Kahuna (+ 45 years), while another grancanary, Tony Araya, did so in Grand Master and the Tinerfeña Lorena Mazzola in the Women's Master category. To conclude the day, an entertaining Expression Session was held, in which 10 longboarders deployed their arsenal of maneuvers to get the prize in cash for the most innovative maneuver. The succession of impossible pilouettes complicated the final decision of the judges, who eventually rewarded the ability of the Matias Plumed maneuvers.
