The first time a ship successfully defends the title in 22 years

The classic navigation conditions of Palma Bay have offered exceptional tests to conclude the Superyacht Cup Palma 2024... St. John's. Regis Race Day has brought with it a radiant sun and a constant breeze of 10 knots of intensity that has tested the crew's work, the speed of the ship and the good tactics around several race beacons on the west side of the bay.

In Class B, last year's absolute winner, the 24-meter-long agile Wally Rose, has won a second victory in today's trial, again rising with the Superyacht Cup Palma Trophy, the first successful defense of the title since Kokomo achieved it in 2002.

At the same time, Class A has experienced an extraordinarily difficult competition in which the 59-meter giant Maximus ketch won the final race - and the class - for a single second over Cervo, 39-meter. With a first and a second each in the general, the advantage of a second in compensated time has given class A to the Gladiator-inspired superketch.

Svea has achieved its third victory in the race, ensuring the victory in Class J ahead of Velsheda and Rainbow, which have ended up tied to points, with the veteran Velsheda making himself the subchampionship on the countdown... tied to points with Velsheda, but third in the general, Rainbow has received the Spirit of the Event award at the trophy delivery held on the terrace of the Real Nautical Club of Palma.
