Svea doubles Class J on the opening day of the Superyacht Cup Palma 2024

The Superyacht Cup Palma has started this Wednesday in Mallorcan waters with Class J showing once again what makes it so striking in any race, and offering a show of elegance and power in two barlovento-sotavento tests.

Although he has been the last to cross the exit line behind his usual rival, Velsheda and the newly renovated Rainbow, who takes part in his first race in many years, Svea has escaped alone on the right of the race field, with a decisive maneuver that has allowed him to win with a six-minute margin over the Rainbow.

In the second test, Svea has again stood out with another victory, although this time for just a minute of difference over Rainbow. The Swedish flag ship has made clear its intention to repeat its 2022 victory. Velsheda, for its part, who took the honors of Class J last year and a general victory at the Superyacht Cup Palma in 2018, will certainly be determined to thwart that ambition from tomorrow Thursday.
