The Superyacht Cup Palma 2024, ready to release ties

The Superyacht Cup Palma, Europe's longest superyacht race, starts the countdown for its twenty-eighth edition. This year, the defender of the absolute title of the Superyacht Cup Palma, the 24-meter-long Wally Rose, will face a strong but friendly Class B opposition, especially by their similar-sized colleagues, Umiko and Dark Horse, from the Swan Shipyard, as well as the flanking Y Yacht Calabash.

For its part, in Class A, both the Hoek Classic duo formed by Atalante and Vijonara, as well as the Cervo, a Tripp design, and the imposing 59-meter maximus ketch will try to show that a large length and an attractive aspect do not imply a lower speed in the regatta field of Palma Bay. Finally there is the Triumvirate of Class J formed by the veteran winner of the Superyacht Cup Palma, Velsheda, the ever competitive Svea and the newly renovated Rainbow - J-KZ1-, who participates in his first race in 10 years and will certainly try to leave a mark.

The race begins on Wednesday with the barlovento-sotavento tests of Class J. The next day, the whole fleet will go out in the water to fight the first of the three days of competition. The Superyacht Cup Palma will conclude on Saturday with the award of trophies at the prestigious Real Club Nautico de Palma.

12mR World Championship Porquerolles... the beauty show is in French waters

From this morning there is a true atmosphere in the French town of Porquerolles of Copa América, around the ships of 12mR that participated in the Cup from 1958 to 1987. Sixteen 12mR are present at this great international event. A novelty for the Porquerolles Nautical Club, which organizes this World Championship... the 14 12 mR ships that compete in the World Championship have been trained in the port of Hyères, with a race scheduled to guide and measure their opponents.

The brothers Germán and Jaime Alvarez- Hevia winners of the second act of the Snipe Summer Trophy in Gijón
