The first race in the history of the 52 Super Series in Newport was resolved with an exciting slow-motion final race. The Thai Vayu, sailed by six members of the Whitcraft family and with the tactic of the Mallorcan Manu Weiller, obtained his first title on the circuit with a rebound in the final meters of the last test.

The Circuit fired with a final two-test session in the waters of the New York Yacht Club headquarters.
