The nautical accumulates in enero - May 2,289 new enrolments

The nautical market has recorded, in the cumulative year, 2,289 registration of recreational vessels, are 553 less than those made in the same period (energy-May) of 2023. Following the trend of recent months, the fall is concentrated in the market of nautical motorcycles and in the segment of boats up to 6 meters long. Ships over 16 metres continue to produce positive results.
On the rental market, vessels registered for this use during the energy period - May show a decrease of -20%, in line with the general market. Of the total number of vessels registered until May, 62% are for private-use vessels and 38% (874 records) are for vessels intended for nautical charter.

By length
Water bikes and smaller boats, up to 6 metres, are still the most affected by the decline in enrolment, with a -23% fall in this year's cumulative. The intermediate length segment between 8 and 12 meters has a more stable performance, with a decrease in enrolments of -3%. On the positive side, boats over 16 meters are maintained with a 25% increase in enrolment in this period, with 5 more records than those made between January and May last year.

By type of vessel
The fall in registration rates affects all markets, with the highest incidence of folding pneumatic vessels (-38.6%) and of water bikes (-24.8%), coinciding with the lower length.

Enrolment by province
Autonomous communities with the greatest impact on the nautical market lose enrollment over the same period of 2023, with some exception for provinces such as Valencia, which is growing by 16.7% and Granada, which is growing by 10.5%.
On the north coast, only Cantabria (+ 25%) and, in Galicia, A Coruña (+ 2.82%), they experience an increase in the registration of vessels in the year. Another territory that shows positive figures is Tenerife which increases its records by 5%.
In the charter marketIt is worth noting the growth of enrolment for this use in Cantabria and Valencia.
