The Royal Spanish Federation of Piragüismo will convene presidential elections in the second half of 2024. In this context, a working group, composed of various presidents of autonomous federations, is preparing an alternative to the current presidency of the Federation.

This team, led by Alfredo Bea, president of the Galician Federation of Piragüismo, is already in the process of drafting the bases for the 2024-2028 program.

For weeks, this group has started meetings to explain the broad lines of the project and to gather views and ideas that will be included in the final mandate programme. The aim is to present this plan once the Olympic and Paralympic Games of Paris 2024 are completed.

The project led by Alfredo Bea seeks to be inclusive and promote teamwork, leaving aside individualisms and personalisms. Its approach is to prioritize the common good over the individual benefit, both in sports and management.

This project has been joined by people from different territories and specialities, continuing to attract support until the time of the election of president of the RFEP. The diversity of views and the search for excellence are fundamental pillars of this initiative.
The Olympic and Paralympic Games represent the most relevant competition of the Olympic cycle for athletes and for the Federation in general. The entire working group unconditionally supports the Federation, its technicians and sportsmen.

It is therefore committed to working closely with the Federation until that time, ensuring that Spanish pyragüism maintains its leadership position in Spanish Olympism.
