The Count of Godó BMW Trophy is half a century younger than ever... with more than 80 boats in a race

The countdown has started for the 51 edition of the Trophy of Vela Conde Godó BMW, which will be held from May 29 to June 2 in the waters of Barcelona. The competitions will include classes J70, ORC and ORC category A2. In recent days, the number of registrations has grown significantly, exceeding the organization's 70 vessels. To date, a total of 75 teams have been pre-registered, with a significant increase in the participation of the J70 class, which has 14 teams from Spain, France and Thailand. Among them, five teams are composed entirely of female crews, who will compete for the Godo Women's Cup.

The ORC A2 fleet, which participates for the third consecutive year, includes 16 vessels divided into two groups. These teams represent Belgium, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Poland and Spain. For its part, the ORC class has recorded the largest participation with 44 vessels from Estonia, Belgium, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Germany, Uruguay, Poland and Spain. These will be divided into four groups: ORC 0-1, ORC 2, ORC 3 and ORC 4-5.

The Royal Nautical Club of Gran Canaria, that of Arrecife and that of Tenerife, today jointly presented at the headquarters of the Grancanarian institution the second edition of the Trophy Circuito Canarias de Crucieros, in an event attended by representatives of the Government of the Canary Islands and the island Cabildo as well as military authorities, Salvamento Marítimo, Harbour Authority and Federation of Canary Islands of Vela.

A Trophy that will start from 6 to 8 June in lance waters with the 13 edition of the Trophy César Manrique RCNA - Calero Marinas, and will have its continuity from 27 to 29 September with the 30 Trophy Infantas of Spain, organized by the Royal Nautical Club of Tenerife, to end on 11, 12 and 13 October with the 34 Princess of Asturias, organized by the Royal Nautical Club of Gran Canaria.
