500 exhibitors with 1000 brands in Navalia that opened their doors in Vigo

The president of the fair, José García Costas, offered for a next event that is able to exceed the 500 exhibitors and the 1,000 brands represented Navalia this morning opened the doors of the ninth edition with record in all its figures in terms of meters, number of exhibitors and brands represented. The opening event had the traditional walk through the fair which, despite having reached such a wide dimension, tried to show many new developments in the sector.

After the family photo at the entrance to the exhibition, the comitiva, headed by the president of the Xunta de Galicia, Alfonso Rueda; the mayor of Vigo, Abel Caballero; and the president of Navalia, José García Costas, visited more than 30 exhibitors to end with a toast in a reserved and enabled space of the Zone H.

During his intervention, the president of Navalia, José García Costas, thanked the effort, work and dedication of the executive committee of this ninth edition, as well as the support of the various public administrations that participate in the event. García Costas promised to continue working to make Navalia 2026 a larger and more important fair, able to exceed the current figures of 500 exhibitors and 1,000 brands represented.

For his part, the mayor of Vigo, Abel Caballero, committed to continue to support the sector through the PERTE that the Government of Spain is developing with the European funds Next Generation EU. "We are company, economy, employment and production... It is our DNA" said the Viguese regator, while affirming that "the shipbuilding is the heart of Vigo," where the industrial process began in the city. Caballero praised the work of Navalia's directive for moving on with this fair since it started in 2006, and invited them to continue to show the rest of the world that Vigo has a great industry.

Finally, the president of the Xunta de Galicia, Alfonso Rueda, added value to the potential of the Galician naval sector and the opportunities for the future in one of the strategic areas of the Galicia economy. Thus, the President stressed that Galicia has all the possibilities and tools to consolidate itself as an international benchmark in this sector, while "taking advantage of the opportunities" offered by new market niches, such as the marine wind. "We have experience and an" exceptional "level in shipbuilding, while stressing the importance of our sea," a sea that explains our past, present and future history.
