After the adoption of the Electoral Regulation by the Higher Council of Sports, the Royal Spanish Federation of Vela announces the call for elections to the General Assembly, whose public vote will take place on 20 June 2024.

In accordance with the Electoral Regulation, the Board of Directors is dissolved and its functions are assumed by the Management Commission, which consists of:

(a) Three members of the Board of Directors: Javier Sanz Fernández, president, Francisco Coro Izquierdo, secretary, and Joan Sanfeliu Sabater, treasurer.
(b) Three members appointed by the Delegate Commission: Concepción Valedor Jiménez, representing the autonomous federations, Francisco Ripoll Stampa, representing the sports clubs, and José Manuel Fernández Agudo, for other stages.
This Management Commission will be the body responsible for managing and managing the federation during the electoral process.

The organization, supervision and control of the electoral process is now the responsibility of the Electoral Board, which is composed of three members and three alternate members, appointed by the Delegate Commission: Aitor Orena Domínguez, Nicolas Undabarrena Allica and Yaiza Pérez García as members; and Antonio Garci ́ a Alcaraz, Juan Antonio Landabea Unzueta and Amaia del Valle as alternate members.

In these elections, the components of the various federal institutions which meet the requirements of the Electoral Regulation are considered as electors and eligible.

The future General Assembly of the Federation shall be composed of 118 members of whom one shall be born on the basis of his or her office as President, 17 shall be the representatives of the autonomous federations and 100 shall be elected from the various stations of the Federation: 44% corresponding to sports clubs or legal persons who, according to their respective regulations, have the ability to participate in sports competitions; 36% sportsmen; 15% technicians - trainers; 5% judges - arbitrators.
