A group of 32 students and students from 3rd ESO of the IES San Isidro de Talavera de la Reina, accompanied by 4 teachers, have held on 13-15 May an interesting day of initiation to water sports in Lake Gabriel and Galán in the municipal term of Zarza de Granadilla in the province of Cáceres.

The chosen place, Lake Gabriel and Galán, is an extensive and beautiful reservoir located in the extensive Lands of Granadilla, which has excellent conditions for the practice of water sports.

During the three days of nautical activities, the sports teaching was carried out by the Nautical School Granadilla, a sports club in the town of Zarza de Granadilla, run by the technician José Carlos Blázquez belonging to the Federation of Extremés de Vela, who was accompanied all the time by monitors of this prestigious extremist sports association.

The life jacket was logically the first measure of safety in the activities carried out. In addition, two pneumatic boats, in a preventive manner, ensured the safety of these Talaveran students.

The sports facility in which these days of initiation to water sports were held was the Extremean sports complex El Rillo. This sports facility is located on the municipal end of Zarza de Granadilla and on the banks of the Gabriel and Galán reservoir. In their warehouses and diapers were all the boats, gear and equipment that were used in each sport.
