The national pyragüism team closed the Hungarian World Cup with good sensations after the three days of competition. This Sunday we had four medal opportunities at Olympic distances, but the metals will have to wait.

Estefanía Fernández did not miss his appointment with the long distance test and got the silver medal in the K1 5000. Emeritense is one of the great favorites of this test and showed it with a race that dominated from the beginning and that fought to the end before the Swedish boat, which ended up taking the gold.

The C1 200 female, with Antana Jácome (4th) and María Corbera (6th), had two Spanish representatives in the struggle for the medals, but the strength of the rivals prevented our palists from adding their third metal in this championship.

The female K1 500 had the appeal to decide the last member to travel to Paris in July. Begoña Lazkano set Isabel Contreras in the B final and conquered the Olympic Square after more than eight years working for it. With Lazkano, Spain closes the female team with five participants: Teresa Portela, Sara Ouzande, Carolina García, Estefanía Fernández and Begoña Lazkano.

Paco Cubelos fought for the podium in the K1 1000, but the talaveran, who did not find its best version on the Sunday, concluded in sixth place. The Spanish kayak team will be formed by six athletes: Saul Craviotto, Marcus Cooper, Carlos Arévalo, Rodrigo Germade, Paco Cubelos and Adrián del Río. It remains to be seen how the teams will be formed in the K2 500, but the aspirations will be maximum.

Pending confirmation of his square is Pablo Crespo. The Galician palist remains pending for Russia to decide in which category he will compete to ensure the presence of one of our young promises. The ICF has a ten-day period to publish a final list, where Crespo has many options to appear.
