SailGP to offer its LiveLineFX graphic technology awarded by Emmy

LiveLineFX, which is produced remotely from the SailGP transmission study in London for the competition transmission partners in 212 international territories, processes 1.15 billion data requests per hour for each of the ten last generation F50 catamarans per hour
SailGP, the most technologically advanced and exciting water racing competition in the world, has announced that its leading technology in the production industry, LiveLineFX, is being developed for use in other sports properties.
The graphic package of patented and internally developed transmission, which drives SailGP's narrative, has allowed the championship to expand its base of followers. The technology, which has received numerous praise, including an Emmy award, has helped to enhance SailGP's reputation as one of the most innovative leagues in the world of sport.
LiveLineFX is produced remotely from the SailGP transmission study in London, for the competition transmission partners in 212 international territories. It processes 1.15 billion data requests per hour for each of the ten last generation F50 catamarans. Provided by Oracle Cloud, everything is done in real time.
LiveLineFX collects the data from the 125 sensors located in each F50, with data points ranging from the speed and direction of the ships, climatic conditions, as well as the marine current, which is then presented as a graphic overlap on the track. This not only improves the transmission experience, but is essential for competition and helps educate the viewer.
Everything is possible thanks to a unique combination of live video of the race circuit recorded from a helicopter, high-precision GPS and the Oracle cloud. Together, these components offer real-time data to the LiveLineFX team, which allows them to track ships with a precision of two centimeters and provide perfect graphic overpositions of geo-positioned race markers, limit lines, as well as ship positions and relative performance statistics.
The technology and creative elements of LiveLineFX naturally lend themselves to a variety of sports outside the stadium, such as cycling, horse racing, surfing and any sport of mass participation, where it can be difficult for viewers to get a full picture and understanding of what is happening in front of them.
