Final Day of the 3rd Engel & Völkers Trophy at the Abra de Vizcaya

The 3rd Engel & Völkers Trophy, organized by the Royal Abra-Real Sporting Club, ends this Saturday in the Vizcaina waters of the Abra with the dispute of its third and final day, after which its winners will be known in the J80, Regata and Cruise classes. After the tours that have been held so far in the J80 division, the young rural Kutxa of the School of Vela José Luis de Ugarte, patroned by Nicolás Viar, appears as leader. Second is the Biobizz of José Azqueta at four points, with the Fingolfin of Gonzalo-varri-third. The Mandovi dalecandELA of Ramón Zubiaga occupies the fourth position and the Jet Set of Ibon Basañez is fifth.

On the other hand, the ships of the Regata and Cruise class have not been too lucky with time and wind in this 3rd Engel & Völkers Trophy. In the Regata class it is first the Alpega of Alfonso Churruca, with the Rat Pack of Javier CHA varri second. In Cruise, the Nexus of Javier Trueba, the only one who scored on the second day, is in the lead. Following the third episode of this 3rd Engel & Völkers Trophy, the award will be held.

Nicolò Gamenara leads the first stage of the SoloMed

On an intense day of navigation, the Italian Nicolò Gamenara has emerged as the winner of the first stage of the SoloMed race in category Series. On board its boat Red Hot Mini Pepper 1073, Gamenara has skillfully sailed through the difficult waters of the Mediterranean, covering the journey from Barcelona to Sa Ràpita, Mallorca, in a remarkable time of 24 hours and 16 minutes, setting a new historical record of this first stage.

Following the steps of the Italian regatist, Loïc Guyader has achieved a second meritorious position with his Mini GUSTA 1055, reaching the finish line with a time of 24 hours and 47 minutes. The third place was for Thomas Dharmont with the Dlg Profils et Competences 1122, who completed the tour in 24 hours and 50 minutes. In the Protos category, the EKI 1089 of Cecilia Zorzi has been the first ship classified with a time of 25 hours and 19 minutes, second position for the Gigali 1011 of Giulia Farnetani with a time of 30 hours and 13 minutes and the third step of the podium is for the Paris Texas 5 of Martial Cuendet with a time of 33 hours and 37 minutes.

After their arrival in Sa Ràpita, the sailors will have a few days to rest and prepare for the second stage of the competition, the most demanding. This second part of the 500-mile race will start from Mallorca and head for the Pitiusas Islands and the Columbretes Islands before returning to Barcelona. If there is no change, the second stage is scheduled for May 11.

At the Multihull Fest in Port Ginesta... rallyes adapted for the multicascos

In Port Ginesta, the first test was a 20-mile coastal rally. All ready for the 3rd Swim for ELA, the Nautic Cambrils

42 teams with a total of 254 swimmers, 43 support boats, 33 volunteers and many collaborators will make possible one of the most expected appointments of the Swim For ELA association on Saturday, May 11.
