The program of Dragon Boat the 2025 World will include mixed teams 200, 500 and 2000 as well as open 200, 500 and 2000
In the city of Chengdu, 470 days remain for the World Games to be held between 7 and 17 August 2025, which will be the twelfth edition of this sport event that brings together, in terms of the Pyragüism, the competition of the Kayak Polo, the Marathon and, in this edition of 2025, the Dragon Boat.
On the occasion of this event, the ICF has published the classification system for this competition to which Spain aspires to be able to access with a boat. In principle, a total of 12 team quotas will be at stake at events in Asia by the end of 2024. The first two quotas will be available at the ISF World Cup Dragon Barco 2024 in Yichang, China, to be held from 24 to 27 October.
When competing on a 10-seat boat, a team must compete in the testing of 200, 500 and 2000 mixed equipment to be eligible for a quota. The two teams with the highest overall score in the three events will seal their participation in the World Games.
The remaining places for Chengdu 2025 will be determined at the ISF 2024 World Dragon Boat Championship in Puerto Princesa, Philippines, a championship to be held from October 31 to November 3. The score system in this competition will be similar to that of the World Cup, with points being given to the mixed teams 200, 500 and 2000 accounting for the general classification being the 10 best teams that get the square for Chengdu 2025.
