The Ocean Race returns to Genoa next year for the European race

After successfully celebrating the great end of the world return in 2023, Genoa will be a key scale in The Ocean Race Europe in 2025
The Italian city of Genoa and The Ocean Race close their relationship to The Ocean Race Europe, a European race that will take a fleet of IMOCA ships with fils to the port of this Mediterranean enclave at the end of next summer.
As host of two editions of The Ocean Race Summits - high-level events held in some of the steps - as well as the final of the 2021 edition of The Ocean Race Europe and the last round of the world in July 2023, Genoa has reaffirmed its commitment to sport and sustainability, as well as providing the characteristic Italian style and hospitality to the race.
This second edition of The Ocean Race Europe - after that held in 2021 - will be held under the slogan "Connecting Europe" on a route from the Baltic Sea, through the North Sea and the Channel of the Mancha, to the Atlantic Ocean before ending in the Mediterranean, with up to seven ports of call.
The Ocean Race 2025
The great event will be based on the contributions of so many people throughout the last editions of the race, and we will continue to drive a significant change through concrete actions. We will have an expanded scientific programme on board, in which the navigators of our ships will provide fundamental data for our scientific understanding of the changes that are taking place in European waters. The host cities in The Ocean Race Europe will involve fans and students in our learning programs to improve ocean knowledge, and we will advocate for ocean rights and the restoration of ocean health while connecting Europe
