The J70 Laguardia & Moreira, based on the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo, in these Sailway Series, is so much the same as having the commanders to the height pattern Gonzalo Araújo, that to the fine herculino cane Malalo Bermudez de Castro, because they add their performances by partial victories: two for the look established in Vigo and one for the Coruñés. And that is that those of Malalo or Gonzalo, who are Jacobo Vecino, Nicolás Domínguez and Pablo Iglesias... feel comfortable in the chair of chiefs and are increasingly distancing themselves in the general, to this series of fashion monotypes that are the door that leads to the Spanish Cup to be held in Vigo, the Spanish Championship that will host the Real Club Nautico of Barcelona and to the World Cup to be held in Palma de Mallorca.

But it is also no less true that there are J70 who are fortisimos with medium or hard winds... as in the case of Noticia, Marnatura, Red April and Green April... and yet they are wrinkled with the little wind... in which if they are like fish in the water patterns like Gonzalo Araújo who is a supergifted in his technical faculties, as well as those of Chuny Bermudez de Castro who have concert violinists like the Olympic bronze medal Nico Rodríguez, Jaime Wizner or Pablo Iglesias. So yesterday these two J70 suffered the unspeakable, but since they are very good the pinch was relative (fifth and third)... on a sleeve that was unique because the wind only gave for that: so that at two in the afternoon the judges would order to compete with an 8-knots west.

And under these conditions, the Marnatura that usually embroidered it with the above-mentioned medium or hard winds, went out of line and sent his resume on these Sailway Series to that site... and was another skilled with the violin... as is the Olympic medal Hugo Rocha, the one that was made with the triumph in the test of the day, that saved the event from hanging the sign of "No regats for lack of wind."

Double day very beautiful on Saturday and less entertaining on Sunday, with a luxury podium... with Laguardia & Moreira, Valmy FVO of Marina Coruña and Náutico Faro of Cascais... with patterns from another galaxy: Gonzalo Araújo, Chuny Bermudez and Hugo Racha. The fourth was the Noticia del Real Club Náutico de Barcelona, fifth the Seneca W of an excellent Willy Alonso... and already in the sixth square of April Red of the Orensano Jorge Pérez Canal, followed by Pazo de Cea which was second in the only manga on Sunday.

By completing the list on the Green April of another Orensian, Luis Pérez Canal, which stood ahead of Marnatura, the Sailway Academy, the Portuguese Hellonext of Tiago Morais, the Small Giant with a Galician-cantabra crew and the Bodegas Villanueva of Jorge Villanueva Herrero.

The Sailway Series is already only in the absence of the fourth act, which will be held in viguese waters next May (days 11 and 12). In line of departure, a 20 J70... among them five based in Cascais- Lisbon, capitalized by the Lusian legend Vasco Serpa... and in its several Olympic crews from Portugal

2024-04-13: Laguardia & Moreira becomes strong in the leadership of the Sailway Series

The favorites do not give truce to their rivals in olive waters, where this Saturday began the third act of the J70 Sailway Series, which is facing much of the Iberian elite fleet of which is the monotype of fashion at the international level... the leadership for the time being in the hands of Laguardia & Moreira who on this occasion has the great Gonzalo Araújo to the cane, J70 in which are also Jacobo Vecino, Nicolás Dominguez and Pablo Iglesias... and eye that two of them have been patterns in the Volvo Ocean Race and Gonzalo:

Second, the Valmy FVO of the Náutico Marina Coruña, with another great patron of Ocean Race, the Herculino Chuny Bermudez de Castro... with another crew of high flights: the one that surprised their own and strangers in the recently concluded Trophy Princess Sofia in 49er: Jaime Wizner, the Olympic Vogüés medal Nicolás Rodríguez and another heavy weight of the young Spanish candle: Bruno Enrique Ameneiro.

By closing the podium to be no less, another Olympic medal... as is the Lusian Hugo Rocha with Nautico de Faro based in Cascais, which relegates to the fourth place one of the best always of Galicia: Guillermo Alonso and the fifth to the J70 of the Real Club Nautico of Barcelona, armed by Luis Cabíedes.

An exceptional day in the Ria de Vigo, where the first round of the third act was held (the Sailway Series are missing the race this Sunday, plus the one that will be the fourth act in the second week of May. With a summer day and with wind: 10 knots from the west, which allowed the good of Jaime García and his technical team, they will mount a total of three sleeves that were for: Laguardia & Moreira (2) and Valmy FVO the remaining.

Araújo left no end loose and with two first and one second he is undisputed leader of the Sailway Series, followed by the J70 Coruñés de Chuny with a second, a first and a sixth... already in third place the Portuguese Hugo Rocha already somewhat far away, with a third and two fifths. To highlight the veteran Guillermo Alonso who is pletoric and has a very young team, of great projection: Alberto Basadre del Marítimo de Canido, Javier de la Gandara de Baiona and the arousan Alejandro Prego.

For its part Noticia another of the great favorites has to be conformed for the moment with the fifth square... being somewhat away from the head three ships with much power: Red April, Green April and Marnatura.

By the second Sunday round of this third act, beginning at 10.30... even though the judges had called the employers at the end of Saturday, to propose to them that the schedule be advanced, to start the sleeves at 10: 00.

2024-04-12: The best Portuguese J70 confirm their participation in the Sailway Series

The third event of the Sailway Series held this weekend, in the Ria de Vigo, by the J70 Class Association and the Royal Nautical Club, where the protagonists will be the Lusian monotypes... because the fleet of Portugal has confirmed that its two best units will be in regatta, and at least five will be in which it will be the fourth act; already in May.

If Valmy-FVO of the Náutico Marina Coruña presents a great crew with Bermudez de Castro to the cane, and regatists of the contrasted quality as Víctor Marino, which was the revelation in 49er in the Trophy Princess Sofia Jaime Wizner or the Olympic medal Nico Rodríguez... those of Lisbon will not be left behind, as the Olympic medal of bronze Hugo Rocha will be the cane of the Náutico de Faro, while another regatista of many quality as is the lisboeta Thiago Morais, will be responsible for the Sail Cascais, in the other legend of the Olympic:

The competition will begin on Saturday at 2: 30 in the afternoon, and on Sunday at 10: 30. The one responsible for the judges once again, that great jury that is the Herculine Jaime García. At the moment the leading leader is Laguardia & Moreira who has had two patterns: the vigués Gonzalo Araújo and the Coruñés Malalo Bermudez de Castro... between both his trajectory in this splendid Sailway Series: with two first, two seconds and two third.

Along with them, we must highlight the work of Marnatura de Luis Bugallo, who is on the stalk of those of Araújo, as well as of the Pazo de Cea del Marítimo de Canido, which has a crew of many carats. They complete the elite of this series, the cited Valmy FVO, the Orensians April Red and April Green, as well as the J70 of the Royal Nautical Club of Barcelona... Noticia with Luis Cavíedes who also sails in Vigo on this occasion. By completing the provisional top ten, units such as the Villanueva Bodegas, Sailway Academy and Seneca W with the master Guillermo Alonso to the controls.
