Successful Windsurfing Clinic in Alocén with Portela, Sandra del Villar and Tertre

The programme of activities initially planned had to be adapted to the adverse weather conditions in the province of Guadalajara during the days of this clic in which the rain, wind and intense cold generated by the drunkard Nelson were the unexpected protagonists. However, the enthusiasm and illusion of the girls and boys enrolled in this sports concentration of Windsurf allowed for practical navigation exercises to be performed during two of the three days of the course and that finally the balance of these days of training and coexistence has been very positive

It took place at the School of Sailing of Alocén, in the middle of Guadalajara province, an interesting Technification Clínic in Windsurf. The activity was organized by the Federation of Vela de Castilla la Mancha and had as its main objectives the technical and sports progression of the young regional windsurfers of the model of boards.

This federative sports activity was included among the many events included this year in the framework of: Castilla-La Mancha European Sport Region 2024.

Among the technicians of the course, he highlighted the presence of the popular regatist Pilar Prieto. In addition there were many windsurfers from the sports club Orillas de Alocén who entered these days of further navigation in Windsurf.

The importance of transmitting knowledge and values to the new generations of Sailing and Windsurfing sportsmen and the possibility of holding such meetings among young sportsmen from Castilla la Mancha was undoubtedly the main objective in convening this Clinic and technical training.

The place chosen for these days of sports improvement was the School of Sailing of Alocén, in the reservoir of Entrepeñas, in the province of Guadalajara.

Close to 20 athletes from different nautical clubs in Castilla la Mancha took part in this training activity, the ages of which were from 8 to 23 years and the high number of female representatives. Among the attendees were young windsurfers of the Club Deportivo Orillas de Alocén de Guadalajara and the Club Watersports of the Toledan town of Cazalegas.

Theoretical talks were held in which important aspects were dealt with, such as the knowledge and development of the competition material, the interpretation of the regatta regulations and the safety in the practice of windsurfing.

Among other technicians who participated in this sports concentration of technification and improvement of windsurfing, the presence of the Galician coach Juan Portela, the madrifuela Sandra del Villar and the talaveran Alfonso Tertre is noteworthy.

The event of the closure of this sports concentration was attended by the mayor of Alocén, Jesús Ayuso, who again expressed the maximum support of the municipality of his municipality for all kinds of sports initiatives aimed at youth.
