The Carabela 32 of 1971, Celeste di Mare absolute winner of The Sal Denia Version
The absolute winner of the Sal Rumbo Ibiza Route, in its trigésimosta edition, confirms what has always been said about the differential characteristic of this high race, that of having been conceived to the extent of the fleet existing in our country, in which what counts to achieve victory is the hobby, the tendon, the preparation, the coordination and the experience of the crew, rather than the antiquity or length of the ship in question.
This is the case of the shipowner Amador Magrané, who competes for the Royal Nautical Club of Port of Pollença and his companions, Joan Pizá, sailing coordinator of the Reial Club Nàutic Port of Pollença, Aina Jordi of Club Nàutic s'Arenal and Ricardo Anduete... the Celeste di Mare, designed by Sparkman & Stephens of 9.53 meters in length, built in wood shaped in 1971 by the legendary Carabela shipyards of Badalona... 53 years ago.
The Barcelona version, for its part, with many problems due to the temporal on the Catalan coast... without beginning, was being studied an alternative route of a few miles... whatever is done to close the file, does not at all waste the numerous participation... but there is something clear: the fight against nature is something unattainable for mortals. Congratulations to the organizing team, with a great Enrique Gómez Curt at the front, one of the largest workers of all the time of the Spanish high sail.
