At the event on Tuesday, the head of the Bizkaia Alain Sánchez area and the head of the Mónica Zuazaga area were present by Rural Kutxa; Iratxe Sainz, head of institutions; and Tania Santamaría, head of the Las Arenas office. On the part of the Maritimo del Abra, the president Manu Sendagorta, the comandoro José Azqueta, the sports director Eduardo García- Santamarina and the manager Roberto Delgado (Photo José Capeillo) have attended.

Sustainability, inclusion of persons with disabilities through sport and institutional collaboration, the backbone of the renewal of the agreement between the two entities.

The collaboration agreement between Rural Kutxa and the Real Club Marítimo del Abra-Real Sporting Club is republished through the signing of an agreement that seeks to strengthen the development of sports, cultural, social and environmental activities that have a positive impact on the environment.

In the sports project, Rural Kutxa supports those activities organized by the Real Club Marítimo del Abra-Real Sporting Club and its School of Sailing José Luis de Ugarte that contribute to ensuring the personal and sports training of young people, as well as to promoting the responsible practice of sailing.

The social project has an impact on the organization of free sailing courses during the season, with the aim of making this sport accessible to persons with physical or organic disabilities in the territory of Bizkaia. This action is carried out with the adapted sports regional Federation and days of departure to the sea are organized. This agreement allows sport, in this case that of sailing, to be more accessible to all people, regardless of their condition or capabilities. This project promotes the experience of navigating people with some kind of physical or organic disability.

The young team of regatists of the powerful class J80 will also bear the name of Rural Kutxa, a sponsor of a crew who usually occupy the honorary positions. The agreement with Rural Kutxa, whose brand will be in the equipment of the School of Sailing, also promotes the implementation of environmental activities that have a positive impact on the environment.

Rural Kutxa as a sponsor of the José Luis de Ugarte School of Vela, helps to offer a wide range of courses on an annual basis, thanks to which about a thousand students are trained in the facilities of this Club each year. The courses are organized according to age, level of knowledge and type of boat, with the sustainability and care of the environment always present as one of the priorities. The School also offers these training courses in adapted sport, as well as other tailor-made courses, particular classes and nautical courses. It also provides talks and conferences, collaborates with school sport, forms teams of regatists and has its own teams that train throughout the year, carries out baptisms at sea, participates with public and private entities or conducts training courses for monitors, among their many activities.
