French Olympic Week in Hyères-Toulon Provence Méditerranée from April 20 to 27

For more than 50 years, the best Olympic regatists have met in Hyères in late April. In 2024, from 20 to 27 April, the 55th edition of the French Olympic Week will be a very special event, as it will be the last great multi-series meeting of the world's best regatists before the 2024 Olympic Games... 1000 athletes and 500 support staff from 90 countries on the 5 continents, the French Olympic Week of Toulon Provence Méditerranée will host about 20 nations more than its annual average. The prospect of securing the last 39 places in the Olympic Games is a high-risk event for these countries and promises to be a story of joy and tears.

Bernat Cortés defends the title in the most international Formula Kite Spanish Championship in Los Alcaceres

The Bat town of Los Alcázares is a hervidero of Riders prepared to participate from 16 to 24 March in the European Championship of Formula Kite, but many of them are already in competition mode participating in the Spanish Championship, which is held from 14 to 16 in the waters of the Sea Minor, in which 49 Riders in the male category and 20 in the female category, from 28 countries. Bernat Cortés (CN El Balís) defends the national title obtained in 2023 in the waters of Palamós (Girona). The Catalan rider was imposed in the last edition of the Spanish Championship and seeks to revalidate the title in bats. In front of it will have the seven-time champion of Spain, the alicantino Alex Climent (Marina El Portet), who will try to recover the national scepter in bats. The third in the podium was the Valencian Jacobo Espí (Club Vela Valencia Mar).

The Spanish Championship is Open, although only 14 men and 2 women from clubs from Catalonia, Castilla-La Mancha, Comunitat Valenciana and Murcia Region compete for the national title. In addition to Spain, the other participating countries are: the Netherlands, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, China, Croatia, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Latvia, New Zealand, Portugal, the Dominican Republic, Singapore, Switzerland, Toga and Vanuatu.

The Iberdrola League in Calpe in its second act

This weekend, the Royal Nautical Club of Calpe will host the second delivery of the Iberdrola League of Women's Sailing. Twelve teams are registered at this meeting, four of them new to the 2024 circuit. With the Baleària-RCN Palma and the Arenal CN in front of the classification, the Iberdrola League fleet welcomes the North Zone-RCM Santander, Alicante City & Beach of the RCR Alicante, Pinky Team-RCN Gran Canaria and RCN Port Pollença teams.

On this occasion there will be six autonomous communities of origin of the participating crews: BaleàriaRCN Palma, CN Arenal, RCN Puerto Pollença, Canarias (Pinky Team-RCN Gran Canaria, RCN Arrecife), Cantabria (Zona Norte-RCM Santander), Comunitat Valenciana (Sailing Point-CN Altea, Alicante City & Beach-RCR Alicante, Valderas-RCN Valencia, Gabantte Sailing Team-RCN Calpe) Madrid (Madrid-RCN-RCM-RSC-Abra-Madrid).
