After two days of postponement due to the adverse conditions of time, the II Social Trophy for ships of the Regata class, Cruise, and monotypes of the J80 division, could be held on a sunny and hot day with up to 12 knots from the south. Following the tours scheduled by the organizing committee of the Royal Maritime Club of the Abra-Real Sporting Club, the Maitena of Mikel Emaldi was imposed in the Regata class, the Cyclone of Javier Larrañaga in Cruciero I, the Kohen of Juan Carlos Estefanía in Cruciero II and the Fingolfin between the J80.
The Maitena of Mikel Emaldi won in the Regata class after a tour in the outside Abra that had to be shortened. The test started with 12 knots and then the wind went down. After the Maitena, a Farr 45, the Thelonious of Jon Garai, the Uso Manuela of Francisco Aldecoa, the Akelarre of Mauricio Guibert, the Alpega of Alfonso Churruca, the Txupinazo of Juan Valdivia, the Symphony of Javier Onaindia and the Despejado of Carlos Maidagan were classified.
In addition, the Cyclone of Javier Larrañaga was crowned in Cruciero I, with the Bacilón of José Miguel Franco second and the Nexus of Javier Trueba third. Fourth was the Turi of Simon Cortés and fifth the Marmotinha of Aitor Penenori... on its side, the Kohen of Juan Carlos Estefanía maintains its superiority in the Cruise class II, after ending ahead of the Blai of Iñigo Aldea and the Ramper of Jairo López de Guevara.
After three tours in the Ereaga area with 6 to 10 knots south wind, the Gonzalo-varri Fingolfin was imposed in the J80 class with a quarter and two seconds. The José Azqueta Biobizz was ranked second to only one point of the winning crew (one second, one first and one sixth), while the Rural Kutxa of Tomas Trueba completed the podium in this division also to a point of the winner Fingolfin (one first, one third and one fifth). After the first three, the Obelix de Pablo Gomeza, the Wilco de Diego Guardamino, the Jet Set de Ibon Basáñez, the Brut de Juan Mocoroa and the Pilgrim de José Luis Ribed were classified.

The II Social Trophy for ships of the Cruise and Regata class, and monotypes of the J80 division, is expected to start and finish this Saturday... and is that the two previous days had to be cancelled due to the adverse weather conditions. This is the second competition of the calendar of the Royal Maritime Club of the Abra-Real Sporting Club for these boats. It is always a good test for the different crews to take the shape of face to the most interesting part of the season, which will come from April with the most outstanding, historical and expected championships.
This edition will finally decide the remaining sabatine day in the field of regats of the Vizcaina waters of the Abra, with the established exit for the ships of the J80 division at 11 hours and for those of the Regata and Cruise class at 12.
A year ago, in what was the second trophy of the calendar, the final victory was taken by the Biobizz of José Azqueta between the monotypes of the J80 division, the Thelonious of Jon Garai in the Regata class, the Turi of Simon Cortés in the Cruise I class and the Kohen of Juan Carlos Estefanía in Cruise II. And in the Trophy held so far this year, the Digital Nautical, the HibLab School of Sailing José Luis of Ugarte of Nicolás Viar in the J80 class, the Maitena of Mikel Emaldi in the Regata class, and again the Turi and Kohen.
