The Alvarzonález Foundation will publish the winning work of the 8th Naval History Award

The Robinson Nautical Library wants to honor the figure of the shipping, marine and mecenas; of our founding president Juan Alvarzonález (1919-2013) with an award bearing its name: 'VIII Edition of the Naval History Robinson- Juan Alvarzonález González'.

This call is addressed to those authors specialized in naval history who aspire to see the light of their work. The winning author of this eighth edition - in addition to the sculpture of Miguel Álvarez Pontico - will see his work published thanks to the Alvargonzález Foundation, the publishing entity, which has so far published more than 70 titles, several of them of naval theme.

If the Jury considers it appropriate, an access will be granted to Romualdo Alvarzonález Figaredo, president of the Alvarzonález Foundation until his death on 31 December 2022. This award will consist in the delivery of a diploma, an art motive and the possibility of future publication of the work. The jury will also decide whether to grant a mention of honor.

This naval history award celebrates its eighth edition - fifth with the mention of our founding president - and the deadline for applications is open until 30 June 2024.
