After fourteen editions, the aim is to find a formula more adapted to the current trend, following the evolution that the holiday celebrations are having

The City of Cambrils and the Nàutic Cambrils Club have agreed to rethink the model of the Maritime Fira of the Costa Daurada to find a new formula to promote the sector between professionals and fans and, at the same time, to open the port and the facilities of the Club to all people who want to know the world of nautical.

The decision to reformulate the event comes after the evolution and new trends to promote the specialized companies, which already point to European fairs such as the Nautical Boot Hall in Düsseldorf.

In 2008, the first Maritime Fira of the Costa Daurada was held in Cambrils with an agreement with the City Council of Salou to join efforts in a single joint fair, taking over the water events that previously organized the two conistories separately.

Until 2011 the FMCD was carried out alternately in the two municipalities and from 2012 the Fira remained in Cambrils, organized by the Association of Industries, Trade and Nautical Services (ADIN) with the preparation of the Nautic Cambrils Club.

The Maritime Fira of the Costa Daurada took a new course in 2014 when the City Council delegated the organization to the Núutic Cambrils Club, which organized it until last year, with a parenthesis for the pandemic, and made it a business platform for the professionals of the nautical sector and a pole of tourist attraction for Cambrils, with a more didactic aspect to make known the nautical.
