With Nipon domain starts in Mallorcan waters in the 470 World Championship
The inaugural day of the 470 World Championship was resolved with three tests in the always reliable bay of Palma. The Spanish team of Jordi Xammar and Nora Brugman occupies the fourth place of a provisional led by two Japanese squads. After the first three sleeves of the championship, all the teams have been able to rule out their worst result, allowing the Japanese Tetsuya Isozaki / Yurie Seki, and Ai Yoshida / Yugo Yoshida to get rid of 21 paths and to place themselves as the first leaders of the week. They are followed in a triple tie by the Germans Simon Diesch / Anna Markfort (the most regular team of the day, with some partials 3 + 1 + 5), the Spanish Xammar- Brugman and the Japanese also Keiju Okada / Miho Yoshioka (2 + 2 + 8), current world champions. The four Japanese squads present in Mallorca fight their own battle to identify which of them will represent their country in the Games, and for the moment three of them occupy positions among the top five.

Philippe Delamare arrives in La Coruña after 147 days winning the Global Solo Challenge 2023-2024
Philippe Delamare crossed with Mowgli the line of arrival located near the breakfasts of the Galician city of A Coruña, winning the first edition of the Global Solo Challenge, 147 days and 1 hour after he sailed, for his circumnavigation, on September 30, 2023. His arrival was triumphant, epic and emotional. Large waves hit the coast near the Tower of Hercules, the iconic lighthouse that marks the western end of the bay of A Coruña, the oldest that is still in operation, built almost two thousand years ago. Even on board a semi-rigid, we had to head towards Philippe sailing very slowly and zigzaguar to avoid the breakers of the waves.
