The OptiGetxo Regata met its winners following the tests held in the waters of the outside Abra on Saturday day. Those scheduled for Sunday could not be celebrated by the absence of wind, with the sea as a dish in the field of races. The ironing of the Royal Maritime Club of the Abra-Real Sporting Club was repopulated as regatists of the different Basque clubs and of the small boats of the Optimist class. On this occasion they returned to the ground without being able to complete any route.

After the three tours that took place on the first day, Nicolás Bastard, a regatist of the organizing club, imposed himself on his highest opponent: Iñigo Jáuregui, of the Náutico Club of Hondarribia. Both were tied to 5 points, but Bastard achieved two first positions in the initial day and was made with victory. Third was classified Tomás Jauregui, also from Hondarribia. In the sub-13 category he won Andrea Periotto, from the Maritimo. His club partner Andrea Criado finished second and Markel García, from San Sebastián, was third.

Already among the sub- 11 he took his lead Mikel Martínez, from the Nautical Club of Hondarribia, with the alavesa Alba Lorenzo second and the hondarribitarra Diego Jauregui third.

They took part in this championship almost a hundred young promises from the Basque candle of the Royal Abra Maritime Club - Real Sporting Club, the Nautical Club of Hondarribia, the Real Nautical Club of San Sebastian, the Nautical Club of Vitoria, the Nautical Club of Álava and the Pakea Club. The fleet went out to sail on the second day with a south wind that soon fell. He waited north-west. that never entered the time limit set to make at least a tour. For this reason, the regatists who led the Saturday day won.

This Regata OptiGetxo was organized by the Real Club Marítimo del Abra-Real Sporting Club and its School of Vela José Luis de Ugarte, with the collaboration of the Federaciones Vizcaine and Vasca de Vela, the City of Getxo and the Diputación Foral de Bizkaia.

The Royal Maritime Club of the Abra-Real Sporting Club, in the area closest to its School of Vela José Luis de Ugarte, was filled with ships and regatists of the Optimist class from the first hour of the morning of a sunny Saturday in the Cantábrico. About a hundred young promises, from the Abra Maritime... as well as the Nautical Club of Hondarribia, the Real Nautical Club of San Sebastián, the Nautical Club of Vitoria, the Nautical Club of Álava and the Pakea Club... sailed on the first day of the new OptiGetxo Regata.

The first tour was won by the provisional leader, Nicolás Bastard, of the Real Club Marítimo del Abra-Real Sporting Club, with Iñigo Jauregui and Martina Amunarriz, both of the Nautical Club of Hondarribia, in second and third place. Andrea Criado, of the organizing club, reached the first square in sub-13, with Lola Criado in second place and Ignacio Buján third. Mikel Martínez, from Hondarribia, began with triumph in the sub-11 category.

Nicolás Bastard also took the second test and Iñigo Jauregui came back after him, this time with Telmo Baqueriza in the third position. Andrea Periotto was the best in sub-13 and Mikel Martínez again won between the participation of sub-11. The third punctuable test was for Iñigo Jauregui, tied on top of the table with Nicolás Bastard. The alavesa Alba Lorenzo was set in sub- 11.

This OptiGetxo Regata, which will be decided on the second day of this Sunday with three other routes planned, is organized by the Real Club Marítimo del Abra-Real Sporting Club and its School of Selling José Luis de Ugarte, with the collaboration of the Vizcana and Vasca de Vela Federations, the City of Getxo and the Diputación Foral de Bizkaia.
