The Ocean Race Europe 2025 will start in German Kiel waters

The organizers of The Ocean Race have confirmed Kiel.Sailing.City as the starting port of the next edition of The Ocean Race Europe. The announcement was held during a press conference in the German city this morning. The departure is scheduled for 10 August 2025... Kiel was the arrival port of the Volvo Ocean Race 2001-02 and last year he hosted a Fly By (the pass through the beacon on the channel) in the penultimate stage of The Ocean Race 2022-23. The 2025 race will be the second edition of The Ocean Race Europe, following its debut in the summer of 2021. This event will be based on the first European race and will be held under the theme Connecting Europe with a tour from the Baltic Sea, through the North Sea and the Channel of the Mancha, to the Atlantic Ocean before reaching the goal in the Mediterranean Sea. The fleet will be composed of the last generation of Igua ships, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, flying over water at record speeds.
