A family is going around the world from Port Balís, on the Sun Odyssey 45.2 Forquilla
Carmen, Ori and his 18-month-old Leo will be leaving on February 27 of Port Balís... their main goal is for Leo to connect with the nature and cultures of the world while learning to manage scarce resources on board. In El Balís they have found the ideal port to prepare for both the nautical and industrial services and their proximity to Barcelona, which makes it easier for them to maintain their work.
The Forquilla is a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 45.2, 14 meters long and 4.5 meters manga. It was born in 2003, as Diva and later became Sakurako. It is finally renamed in 2020 where its adventure begins with the name Forquilla. It's made of fiberglass with teak cover. It has 3 cabins and 2 bathrooms. The current configuration of candles is Major and Genoa, very soon also and Code Zero, as well as a Storm for times of complicated conditions. In 2023 and 2024 it is being updated thanks to the work of the crew and the sponsors, who are giving it a set-up to make it as safe as possible.
