Unparalleled figures: historical budget and positive balance in the economic closure of the Galician Pyragüism
The Galician Federation of Piragüismo held its general meeting this morning in the event hall of the Galician Sports Tecnification Centre, with the participation of more than thirty of its members.
The event, chaired by José Alfredo Bea, was extended for more than two hours, during which important issues were addressed, including the approval of the autonomous calendar for 2024 and the highest budget in the history of Galician pyragüism.
During the assembly, President Bea shared with the attendees the memory of the year 2023, highlighting the achievements and challenges faced by the federation... highlighting the more than 9500 licences processed and the unbeatable results of Galician athletes in international competitions.
One of the key moments was the unanimous approval of the new calendar for 2024, which provides for 83 sports events in various ways in the Galician community. In addition, it is intended to organize 20 additional events of a state nature, including major competitions such as the Spanish Olympic Sprint Cup and the Spanish Young Promise Championship, whose headquarters have not yet been allocated.
Another relevant item on the agenda was the report and economic closure of the year 2023, presented by the treasurer. This revealed an unprecedented budget for the federation, with revenues exceeding €1,500,000 and a positive balance of €22000 at the end of the year. These results confirm the successful implementation of the feasibility plan established by the Xeral Secretariat.
With the backdrop of this financial success, the competition season opened today with the first competition of the Slalom modality. The action continues next Saturday with the exciting Galician Championship of double boats, to be held in Castrelo de Miño, promising an exciting day of high-level piragüism in the region.
