Paris 2024 main objective of the calendar for Spanish Pyragüism

The 2024 Paris Olympic Games focus the main attention on the international testing of the two Olympic modes of Pyragüism, Sprint and Slalom... in Slalom, where we already have all the possible squares classified, the competition begins on July 27 and ends on August 5, while, in the Sprint, the competition will start on August 6 and end on Saturday 10... the Sprint, which has eight of the 10 possible boats for the Games as classified, will have to fight in the European classifications of Szeged (Hungary) in May 2, for the male squares, on May 2, K1000 and on the male ones.
Of the 13 modalities that are gathered under the umbrella of the Royal Spanish Federation of Piragüismo only two of them are Olympic. That is why Slalom and Sprint are the cornerstone of this sport, in which the other modalities are always important and important for the Federation and for the multitude of tests that are concentrated in an international season.
However, in 2024, the two Olympic modalities are the ones that will focus the main attention of the fans as they will be the ones that give Spain the possibility to add to the Olympic medallion of Paris 2024.
An Olympic Games that will start on July 26 and end with the torch shutdown on August 11 giving, in this way, the gunshot to the Los Angeles Olympics of 2028.
At the Games, the first to compete will be the Slalom in nine different days. In fact, the moments of the competition are already known in detail. On 27 July, the classification of the male canoe and the female kayak will be held in Spanish peninsular hours between 15: 00 and 19: 10. On Sunday, July 28, the fight for the medals will be for the kayak girls with the semi-final sleeves and the final from 15: 30 to 18: 50.
On Monday 29, it will be the turn for the semi-finals and final of the male canoe, between 15: 30 and 18: 30. On Tuesday, 30 July, the women's canoe and male kayak are reclassified, starting at 15: 00 and ending at 19: 10. The following day, last of July, will be fought for the medals in the semifinal and final descents of the female canoe and on Thursday, August 1, will be the semi-final and final of the male kayak.
After a day of rest, on Saturday, August 3, he will return to the competition at the Slalom with the Kayak Extreme's qualifying decreases between 15: 30 and 18: 30. The following day the qualifying 'heats' will be held between 15: 30 and 17: 25 and the competition will be closed in this manner with the tests of rooms, semi-finals and final on Monday 5 August with hours between 15: 30 and 17: 30.
If in the Slalom the competition was in evening days, in the Olympic Sprint, the program is planned for the morning. It will begin on the eleventh day of competition, on Tuesday, August 6 between 09: 30 and 14: 30. This first day will be the "heats' of the K4 500, male and female, and the qualifiers and the final rooms of the C2 500 and K2 500 of boys and girls. The following day, it will be the turn for individual vessels: classifying and semi-final of the female K1 500 and classifying and quarter of the final of the K1 1000 and C1 1000 male. The third day of the competition in the sprint will already see struggles for the medals, the finals of the C2 500 and K4 500 male and the K4 500 female. A day that will start at 10: 30 and that will also see how the classifications of the C1 200 female, the semifinals of the tests that will choose to medal and also the quarter of the final of the C2 500 female are disputed.
On Friday, August 9, they will be held semi-finals, final A and B of the C2 500 and K2 500 female and K2 500 and C1 1000 male. The last day of competition in the Nautical Stadium of Vaires-sur- Marne will be for the semi-finals and finals A, B and C of the K1 500 female, K1 1000 male and C2 200 female.
But before the Olympic Games there will be events that will serve as a good thermometer to see how the contenders are facing the Parisian appointment. In the Slalom, the first brand in the calendar is made in the European Championship the first major event to be held in Ljubljana- Tacen (Slovenia) between 15 and 19 May. Then three consecutive World Cups in Augsburg, Germany, from 30 May to 2 June, Prague, Czech Republic, 6 June 9 June and the last before the Games will be in Krakow, Poland, between 13 and 16 June. That is, there will be another important competition, as it is disputed in Liptovsky Mikulas (Slovakia) the Junior World Championship and Sub 23, where many participants will attend the Olympic Games. It will be at the Prague Cup, where you will get the Kayak Cross squares of the remaining Games.
After the appointment with the five Olympic arches, the competition in the Slalom will be resumed on August 15 with the Junior European Championship and Sub 23 to be held in the Polish city of Krakow. The fourth World Cup will then be held in Ivrea (Italy) between 12 and 15 September and the season will be closed in La Seu with the World Cup Final from 19 to 22 September of the year.
In the Olympic Sprint, the Szeged track (Hungary) is going to be the main feature in the first part of the season. The first meeting will be on May 8 and 9 with the European Olympic Qualifications, which will be where our participants have to certify the two remaining places to be completed, those mentioned above from the C1 1000 male and the K2 500 female.
The second test is the World Cup that will be held between 10 and 12 May on the Magiar track and where you can find, almost definitively, the same ships with the same palists that compete in Paris. It will be the prelude to what will happen on the Parisian track.
The last test in Szeged will be on the occasion of the European Championships held between 13 and 16 June and 15 days later, the European Junior and Sub 23 will be completed in the Slovak town of Bratislava, between 27 and 30 June. And before the Olympic Games, the Junior and Sub-23 World Championship will be held in the town of Plovdiv (Bulgaria) between July 17 and 21.
