The J70 Marnatura with Luis Bugallo to the reed of the fleet of the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo, was proclaimed the winner of the Christmas Trophy Villalia, after a final day in which he had to be used in depth; to preserve the advantage obtained on the Saturday day, in the face of the actions of his maximum rivals on this occasion: The Guard & Moreira of Gonzalo Araújo and Red April that had as a reed to the patron of the Volvo Ocean Race, Pablo Iglesias.

These three monotypes formed the final podium of this race, which has been the previous event facing the Villalia Winter Series that will be held by the hand of the J70 Vigo Class, with the support of the Nautico, starting in January; to complete with the Barcelona Winter Series, the high-level peninsular calendar of the J70... with the aim that the fleets of Spain and Portugal, prepare the World Championship to be held in the waters of Mallorca.

British punctuality in charge of the Coruñés Jaime García, who this time found a regatta field in Vigo, perfect: winds of 15 knots from the north-east. With these weapons the day was spectacular and Bugallo had a very bad time... to the point that it reached the last manga of the day in a handkerchief with Araujo... because Marnatura had 8 points and La Guardia & Moreira 10... it meant that Bugallo was getting stuck to Araujo... but carefully, because a ship in the middle would have given Gonzalo the victory.

And this exciting one was the winner of Pablo Iglesias (second consecutive) with Red April, second was La Guardia & Moreira and third Marnatura: the absolute victory was for Luis Bugallo. They were followed by a good Green April of Luis Pérez Canal, a Pazo de Cea that achieved a victory in the first manga of Sunday... and closed the list of the first five of Ramón Ojea's hand.

In short, the victories in the six races held were distributed by Marnatura (3), April Rojo (2) and Pazo de Cea (1)... in a Viguese ria that was more conducive to the most experienced patterns, on the younger ones: the two J70 full of canterans: the Valmy-FVO (La Coruña) and Sailway (Vigo) were placed in the seventh and eighth squares, while the Small Giant of the Olympic medal Nicolas Rodríguez was finally ninth in the general.
