The forecast was met in the Abanca Week in herculine waters, which completed the second act of the so-called Rías Altas version, reserved to the base candle in which 131 optimists have finally competed from all over the Spanish northwest. Among the first ten of the so-called Meeting Gadis Cidade da Coruña, which honored the unforgettable Aurelio Fernández Lage for the tenth year in a row... the optimists of the nautical of La Coruña and of Vigo claimed their status as favorites, by achieving, respectively, the top ten... three of the north and five of the south... with a podium formed by Hugo Nieto (La Coruña), Sara Rebodo (Vigo) and Federico Pardo (La Coruña). Only Jaime Díaz who was fourth (Marina Coruña) and Daniel Iglesias (Riveira) broke the path of the favorites.

If on Saturday the bell had saved the event: a soft five-kt breeze from the south-west; on Sunday there was something similar to a similar speed and south component breeze. It was fair to celebrate the second race of the ranks: the yellow ones; and the one that was unique to the less competitive: the blue ones... in this lot of Hugo Iglesias of the Royal Nautical Club Rodeira, the silver for Martín Barros del Monte Real de Baiona and the bronze for Miguel Garcia del Nautico de La Coruña... the best girl the pontevedresa Martínez Ferandez del Mar de Aguete

It is necessary to highlight the strength of this generation of regatists and it is worth the fact that of the top ten: seven have been Sub13 and only three Sub16... that is, of the so-called veterans. Also highlight the great moment of the two most powerful sailing schools in Galician waters: those of the Nautics of La Coruña and Vigo, which enjoy excellent health... while the Nautico of Sanxenxo was below what was expected, as its best exponents were Victor Dominguez (18) and Pablo Cordero (19)... even achieved better partial Marina Coruña, Riveira, Alamar de Sada and Marítimo de Canido among others.

On Sunday afternoon at the sports facilities of the Real Club Náutico de La Coruña was held the award and closure of this Meeting Gadis Cidade da Coruña, which had the presence of Jorge Etchevarría Mazaira, comedian of the Coruñés club, Nacho Dopico del Concello da Coruña, José Luis Fernández del Grupo Gadisa, Jesús Prado de Abanca, as well as the widow of Aurelio Fernández Lage Janet who gave Hugo Nieto of the Real Club Nático de La C oruña, which was made the most important of the work of the work of the one that was made by the one of the one of the one of the most famous of the

The optimist Luis Tourón of the Re25 Nautical Club of La Coruña is the leader of the Meeting Gadis immersed in the Abanca Week and that has at stake the Grand Prix Cidade da Coruña-Trofeo Aurelio Fernández Lage, in honor of the one who was a great president of the first Herculine nautical club, and a defender of the ultra-sailor base, and of its promotion among the youth of the City.

It was a strange day, because while the day was almost summer, the wind did not add to the success of the meteor and made it very difficult to compete, despite the great effort of the judges appointed for this qualifying appointment for the national of the category. In the end, after three failed attempts... when the worst was feared a soft wind of 6 to 8 knots that began to be of the north component and gradually rolled to the west, it saved the opening of this Meeting Gadis, as the yellow group (the best of the ranking) completed the sleeve... but that is, the blue ones were left blank.

But for this purpose before the valid test, three were annulled and in the fourth that would be valid, bad luck for the coruñesa Rosa Rivero who was wearing an excellent sleeve (was third, with only 13 years old), but was disqualified by the judges, considering that it was out of line.

Victory for a Touron that is the twenty-first of the northwestern ranking, on the very young Alejandro Gestoso... one of the eight sub13 regatists who managed to enter the top of the first fifteen... amen of the baby of the Alamar de Sada: that being sub11 was in the first squares. I hear this kid... Evan Pérez-Roig who can promise to be an excellent regatist.

In girls, the first three are at the moment Sara Reboredo del Nautico de Vigo (absolute 3rd), Alma Chamorro del Marítimo de Canido (eighth in general) and Julia de Cominges, also de Canido, which is the tenth in the absolute.

In boys, it should be noted that for the moment the boys of the north can with those of the south: The Coruña of the top ten has five optimistic (four of the Nautico and one of the Marina), by two of Riveira and three of the south... two of the Nautico of Vigo and one of Canido. And that number one of the ranking, the Paco Riveras, is fourth for the moment.

For the second day Sunday with the beginning of 10.30 in the Coruñesa era... even though the judges were at the end of yesterday arguing about starting the first Sunday manga half an hour before... the closing on the Nautic Sports at the edge of 5: 00 p.m.

Abanca Week loses in the final vote of the International Federation in Malta

The Abanca Week reached the end of the vote of the Annual Assembly of the Eurilca held this week in Malta where, among other issues, the headquarters of the European Championships ILCA 2026 were decided. The Galician candidacy (proposed by the Maritime clubs of Canido and Marítimo de Vigo, to organize the European ILCA6 (women's Olympic class)) was defended by the National Secretary of ILCA, the gaditan Javier Blanco.

The director of the Spanish, managed to pass two crosses and was planted in the final, where she was defeated by the Greek candidacy. The rivals of the Vigo era in the final phase were Dzwnow (Poland), Andora (Italy) and finally Thessaloniki (Greece). The issue was taken with great disgrowth, as there was no desire to generate false hope among the fans. Once the news came from Malta, they were brought to the attention of the Vigo sports councilman, Manel Fernández.
