Rats on Fire, Fyord Maverta, Fanytas and Marbella Team win the Godó
The 43 Count of Godó Trophy ended big, with three tests in all classes and two in ORC 2. Rats on Fire de Rafael Carbonell in ORC 0-1, Fyord Maverta de Pedro Gil and José Luis Maldonado in ORC 2, Fanytas de Miquel Banus in 0-4 and Ramón Pelayo Avocados- Marbella Team de Pepequín Orbaneja and Juan Luis Páez in J80, were the brilliant winners.
After the cancellation of the second day's tests for lack of wind, in the last day, the Committee of Regates hastened until the time limit to allow a day to be completed and to recover the tests that could not be held on Saturday.
With this victory Rats on Fire, with Rayco Tabares and Noluco Doresta as strong men in the stern, he already adds seven in the Count of Godó and becomes the third most successful ship in the classic Barcelona regatta after the mythical saga of the Bribón of Josep Cusí, which has eleven in his vitrines and Lupa of Caesar Obregon with eight. In ORC 0-1 he was followed by Gramona de Jesús and Román Turró - who has counted a luxury team with Fernando León, Guillermo Altadill and Juan Luis Wood, among others - and Extreme Ways of American Andrew Holdsworth and Iñaki Castañer.
In ORC 2 Fyord Maverta, patronized by José Ballester, he was able to withstand the pressure on which the world champion Low Noise II, patronized by Duccio Colombi, had Willy Altadill on board. The ship of Torrevieja is still undefeated this season 2016. While Laplaza Assessors, patronized by Carles Rodríguez, finished third. Among these three ships was the triumph. While in ORC 3 the ship of Port d'Aro, Fanytas, gave no choice with six wins in six sleeves, exceeding Tibere and Escert. In the monotype J80 Nautica the Andalusian ship Ramón Pelayo Abogados Marbella Team patronado by Leonardo Armas, was imposed on Nautica Watches of the Olympic champion José María Van der Ploeg. The Akewuele of Silvia Ravetllat and patronized by Carlos Martínez, finally ended up on the podium, exceeding HM Hotels.

The wind did not accompany him on the second day of the Count of Godó Trophy and after five hours in the water, the Regatas Committee tried to give him a way out, but it had to end up canceling due to the fall of the little wind that he was blowing. Leaders arrive at the final day Rats on Fire (ORC 0-1), Fyord Maverta (ORC 2), Fanytas (ORC 3-4) and Ramón Pelayo Avocados- Marbella Team (J80).
The 60 ships from ten countries, divided into four categories, participating in the dean race have been waiting at sea for five hours, but the wind conditions have been very unstable, due to the blushing installed on the peninsula. The continuous changes in direction and a maximum intensity of 4.5 knots, which immediately fell back to 2 knots, have made it impossible to complete any sleeve, even though the 0-1 and the 2 ORC have started one. The lack of wind in the second day of competition made it impossible to dispute any evidence, thus maintaining the same results as in the inaugural day.
18 knots on the opening day of the Godó
Rats on Fire (ORC 0-1), Fyord Maverta (ORC 2), Fanytas (ORC 3-4) and Pelayo Abogados Marbella Team (J-80) are the first leaders of the 43 Conde de Godó de Vela Trophy, which premiered yesterday in the waters of the Royal Nautical Club of Barcelona, on a day marked by medium winds between 11 and 15 knots and which allowed the ORC 0-1 and 3-4 and J80 classes to make three sleeves and ORC 2 two.
The equality was maximum in the two largest classes of cruises. In ORC 0-1 Rats on Fire by Rafael Carbonell after a very equal start with Gramona de Jesús Turró, he leads with three points on the Barcelona RCN ship. The American Extreme Ways is third, after the three ships were divided three first, one per sleeve.
He is leader in ORC 2, Fyord Maverta of the shipowners Gil and Maldonado with José Ballester to the cane, who with a first and a second place, outnumber the Laplaza Assesors of Alexandre Laplaza at one point and two to the Italian Low Noise world champion. In ORC 3 the Fanytas of Miquel Banus leads with three first.
Pelayo Abogados Marbella Team de Pepequín Orbaneja y patronado por Javi Padrón, en primero la tabla con el Nautica Watches de José María van der Ploeg en J80 as co- leader in second position. The new Spanish champion, the Mallorquin HM Hotels of Javier Chacártegui, is third.
