Málaga hosts the annual World Sailing Conference

Málaga is the venue of the international meeting that seeks to shape the future of our sport: the annual meeting of the World Sailing

More than 300 delegates, volunteers, committee members and the highest levels of the World Sailing meet this week to review and discuss the international federation's strategy for next year and beyond, making and ratifying key decisions that will affect sailing at all levels, from elite professionals to recreational regatists.

The delegates include regatists, event organizers, National Member Authorities, committee members, Class Associations, boat manufacturers, sportsmen and representatives of World Sailing partners... before the Conference, World Sailing received 189 proposals for changes to World Sailing regulations, policies and standards.

The World Sailing Council will meet on 15 and 18 November to approve, reject or postpone the recommendations and proposals of the Committees and will ratify the proposals at the Annual General Assembly on 18 November, the last meeting of the Annual Conference.

The World Sailing Awards 2023, the Rolex World Sailor of the Year Awards, the highest recognition of excellence, will be the highlight of the evening. The World Sailing 11th Hour Racing Sustainability Award, Team of the Year and Boat of the Year will also be awarded. The Boat of the Year, the Beppe Croce Trophy and the Development Award will also be undone.
