The empowerment of the nautical pilgrimage and the Compostela as the objective of the joint initiative for pilgrims who draw the sea routes

The Association of Nautical Clubs of Galicia, Asnauga, and the charter company Sailway, by the hand of the Association Ria da Estrela (Association of the Municipalities of the Ría Muros Noia) unite synergies and join in a joint project that promotes the Jacobea maritime route that, from different ports of the community, will have its starting point in a very different nautical adventure and full of stimuli.

Thanks to the Ria da Estrela Association, which gave way from its stand, Asnauga will be able to spread the nautical spirit of the Way of Santiago by sea Nautical journey Xacobea only route certified by the ICTE throughout Spain.

The edition of the Forum del Camino - Fairway, these days in the capital of Galicia brings together both national and international companies and institutions (Ireland Malta, etc.), in a common setting, which was held at the Congress Palace of Santiago.

In this context, Asnauga, Sailway and the Ria da Estrela Association will present their joint proposal, the Xacobea Nautical Trip, with the aim of enhancing this Nautical route, which began in 2014 and whose purpose is to obtain the Compostela for all pilgrims who, from the sea, catch one of the scheduled routes, after sailing 90 nautical miles, on foot the last five kilometres to Santiago on any of the traditional roads, such as French or Portuguese.
