The technicians of the Royal Nautical Club of La Coruña, advised by those of the Galician and Spanish federations, as well as by the national dome of the Association of Monotypes J80, with the approval of the Organizing Committee of the Abanca Week, have decided to postpone the holding of the first event of the Rías Altas version of the Abanca Week that should be held this weekend, in the face of the unfavorable weather parts.

In this way, the J80 Sailing Finals Series Gran Prix Cidade da Coruña, which was scheduled to take place in herculine waters from Friday to Sunday, with the participation of the best Spanish ranking monotypes belonging to the fleets of the Royal Maritime Club of Santander, the Real Nautical Club of Castro Urdiales, the Real Maritime Club of Abra-Real Sporting Club of Getxo, the Real Nautical Club of La Coruña and the Monte Real Club of Yates of Baiona, are officially postponed.

The general opinion is not to interrupt the development of the Abanca Week and to pass to January the test postponed... by completing in November the cycles in Marin, in which it is scheduled that within the Rías Baixas III version, the Galicia Cup of Remo and Piraguismo Trofeo Ence-Villa de Marín are held... two prestigious competitions in which will be a thousand remers and palists in two acts, the first reserved for the batels, and the second to the dragons boat 12

To return to La Coruña, where the Trophy Izabel Zendal- Grand Prix Cidade da Coruña de Vela Feminina will be held next with crews from all over Spain and then the Mettig Gadis that honors the memory of Aurelio Fernández Lage in which more than 150 optimist will participate, in the reference competition of the base candle in Galician waters.

This is why for the second time in its long history the multinational event referred to in our country, the Abanca Week, invades the following season... for in January the most prominent crews of the national ranking of J80 will compete, beginning with the Santanderino Solintal of Ignacio Camino number one today, with another of the heavy weights as is the Biobizz of José Azqueta del Marítimo del Abra vizcadino second on the table, and to which is third on the list... the Fredo Estrella del Norte de José María Torcida.

They complete the list Etnia de Peru Múgica and Zona Franca de Iñigo Prego, also from the Marítimo de Santander; those of Castro Urdiales Vissi de Juan Llano and Matrako de Ricardo Díaz, the Marías Casas de Manuel María Cunha del Monte Real Club de Yates de Baiona, and the Herculinos Impression 3D Atlántico de Guillermo Blanco and the Kotablue-Fibra Coruña of the European champion of finn Miguel Fernández Vasco, both of the fleet of the Real Club Náutico de La Coruña.
