70 people with intellectual disabilities participated from September 25 to 28 in various activities such as exciting sailing days and a formidable program with visits to emblematic places in Bizkaia
The Real Club Marítimo del Abra-Real Sporting Club is in the year of its 125 Anniversary and among its many special activities was one with Special Olympics athletes, which took place from Monday 25 September to Thursday 28 with a calendar that covered the sport and visits to emblematic places of Bizkaia. The opening event was held last Sunday, on the pier Evaristo Churruca of Las Arenas with the performance of the Coral Society of Bilbao, to which the Zozoak Choirs of Getxo and Salazar Abesbatzak of Portugalete were joined.
And the farewell was on the Club's terrace with an emotional act in which the various participating delegations received their corresponding medals and recognitions. The Special Olympics Sailing Course was held for three days at the Abra and meant a magnificent promotion and promotion of the sailing sport with a course of navigation for people with intellectual disabilities.
