It ended in the waters of the Vigo Ria, the Rías Baixas II version of the Abanca Week, dedicated to the Olympic class iQFoil and the two specialities of Formula Foil and Formula Windsurf... and it did so with a bitter taste, as the wind was partially absent on Friday and entirely on Saturday and Sunday... by unfolding the events, of which only two valid sleeves of the Spanish Championship of iQFoil Grand Prix Xunta de Galicia, one of the Formula Foil and none of the Formula Windsurf were held.

The specialist who will represent Spain in Paris 2024; Nacho Baltasar del Náutic Sa Rápita de Mallorca, the fruit of two sleeves in which he achieved a fourth and a first took the Spanish Cup... and also with validity because the requirement was that two sleeves be held.

The Alicantino Jorge Aranzueque of Santa Pola noted in his locker a second and a third... which carried a total of five points like the Mallorcan, but the first one achieved by his rival prevented him from achieving gold, having to conform to silver. The bronze was for the Andalusian Fernando Lamadrid.

In girls the favorite was the one that is the highest candidate for the women's Olympic square: the Sevillian Pilar Lamadrid, which on Friday was overtaken by the Barcelona Julia Gómez of the Nàutic El Balís Club, which was the female winner in Vigo. At the level of the Gallegos who competed in this Olympic class, the Orensian Nicolás Blanco de Castrelo de Miño was the thirteenth and the vineyard Lucas Maceira, the fourteenth.

For their part, the participants in the Spanish Formula Foil Windsurf Championship were the most damaged, since they were left without official title, because they were unable to celebrate two valid sleeves... becoming an official race but without validity of national championship, with the name of the Trophy Recession of Pontevedra, which was won by the Andalusian Martínez del Cerro, closing the podium the Galician Ignacio Fernández that achieved the silver and the Portuguese Miguel Martinho of the Portimáo Maritime, which was made with the bronze... completing the best vigués Fabio and the fifth that Juan Ventos de la Parñada.

The Abanca Week will be fired in its 2023 edition of Vigo with the latest competition of the Concello de Vigo Trophy that will have in play amen of the Villa de Bouzas de Cruises Trophy, the Galician Cruise Championship ORC and the Iberian of Reduced Tripulations (A Two and A Three).

The Bouzas Maritime Liceo has announced that more than 50 ships will participate, making it the second heavy-sailing Galicia race with the largest number of participants.

From here on, the Abanca Week will set the course for La Coruña where three high-flight events are held within the Rías Altas version... among them the Spanish J80 Champions League, in which the twelve best crews of this monotype will compete nationally.

Nacho Baltasar del Náutic Sa Rápita de Mallorca and the Andalusian Fernando Martínez del Cerro, continue to lead the Spanish Cup of the Olympic Class iQFail- Xunta de Galicia and the Spanish Championship of Windsurf- Recutation of Pontevedra respectively, after the conclusion of the second day of these competitions of the Abanca Week, in the waters of the Ria de Vigo; of the hand of the Club Marítimo de Canido and of the Marítimo de Vigo, in which the main judge of both events on the edge of the five of the afternoon, in the second day of the day of the wind, to the end of the day of the day of the day.

A desperate day in the river of Vigo, with high temperatures and in which despite the efforts for more than six hours of the judges with the Coruñés Carlos Sardiña at the front, it was absolutely impossible for a manga to be held.

Only at the edge of four o'clock in the afternoon it seemed that a soft north-west of six knots would be set in the area of Cis... but it was all a lack of alarm of hope, because I went down to just four... to then disappear and prevent the opening of the test locker

In view of this situation at the meeting held by all the technical cadres, with coaches and participants, it was decided when it was five o'clock in the afternoon, at the Canido Maritime Club to cancel the testing schedule and to convene the regatists in both the Spanish Cup of iQFoil and the National Formula Windsurf to start the competition if possible by nine and a half o'clock Sunday morning.

Whatever happens on Sunday the Spanish Cup of iQFoil will be valid with two sleeves held on Friday (under rule 2.4.9 paragraph b of the Competitions Regulation of the Royal Spanish Federation of Sailing), but both Formula Windsurf and Formula Foil that are playing their Spanish Championship will necessarily have to reach two sleeves and so far the Formula Foil have a race held by none of the Formula Windsurf... Balearic, Valencia and Andalusia podium of iQFoil and Andalusia, Galicia and Portugal of Windsurf

Finally, it should be noted that at seven o'clock on Saturday and taking advantage of the celebration of these events of the Abanca Week in Vigo, the annual assembly of the windsurfing class was held in the facilities of the Club Marítimo de Canido.
